Gina Gavini

Gina Gavini is Chief Operating Officer at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). In this role, Gina’s key areas of responsibility are strategy implementation and support, staffing levels, risk assessment, efficiency of index production process, quality control, and disaster recovery.

Prior to her current role, Gina served as Chief Risk and Quality Officer, overseeing index launches, data governance, internal controls, and quality assurance across the business.

Gina joined S&P DJI in 2003 as an analyst in the McGraw-Hill Companies’ (now S&P Global) internal audit department. Soon after, she was offered a financial analyst role in the portfolio services business unit where she stayed for two years. After moving on from finance, Gina expanded her index knowledge by rotating through several other groups; product management, operations, sales, and PMO, until moving to her current role in 2014.

Prior to joining S&P DJI, Gina worked for KPMG LLP focusing primarily on financial statement audits, assessing technical accounting literature, and writing technical implementation standards for the forms training program.
