Liz O'Melia

Chief Financial Officer

Elizabeth O’Melia is the Chief Financial Officer for S&P Global Ratings. Liz leads the finance and strategy organization for Ratings and is responsible for all financial and strategic planning, investment valuation, resource allocation and business development.
 
Previously, Liz was Senior Vice President and Treasurer, with responsibility for treasury and investor relations at S&P Global. Liz led the company’s capital markets, banking and insurance risk management activities and was a member of the Retirement Plans Investment Committee, providing oversight for investment strategy and performance.
 
Before joining S&P Global, Liz served as Vice President and Treasurer responsible for directing treasury, capital markets and investor relations at Covanta Holding Corporation, an energy and independent power development company. Previously, Liz held management positions at Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) in the corporate strategy, financial analysis, capital budgeting and audit areas before assuming the position of Assistant Treasurer, responsible for managing the corporate finance and treasury areas.
 
Liz is on the Board of Museum of American Finance and is a member of the National Association of Corporate Treasurers and Financial Executives International. She is a previous Board Member of S&P Dow Jones Indices. Liz holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Montclair State University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
