Balaji Krishnamurthy

Balaji Krishnamurthy joined S&P Global in July 2019 as the Chief Technology Officer, S&P Global Platform.  In this role, he is spearheading the creation and implementation of S&P Global Platform roadmap building capabilities to accelerate growth and performance of all divisions, an essential part of our long-term vision for S&P Global. Central to this is enhancing the Company’s digital footprint and finding innovative ways to use data to expand its products, services and delivery platforms and create new value for customers. Balaji brings to this role a breadth of experience in navigating the changing technology landscape combined with deep domain knowledge acquired through extensive work leading research and development teams.  

Prior to this, Balaji served as CTO, Global Markets at IHS Market, a leading Fixed Income/Equity Trading Platform Division, where he was responsible for the development and execution of the trading platform strategy and activity in a variety of areas such as Cloud Strategy, Big Data, Data Science, Cyber Security, and a range of Future Systems technologies. He also worked in various development capacities at Thomson Reuters, Realogy, American Express, AIG and others. 

Balaji holds an MBA in Finance & General Management from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Madras.
