Senior Research Analyst, North America Power and Renewables
Thomas Hancock is a senior research analyst on the North America Power and Renewables team at S&P Global Commodity Insights.
Thomas focuses on analyzing power markets and trends in the southeastern United States and follows policies and regulations concerning conventional pollutants and emissions markets across the United States electricity sector. He has published original research on nitrogen oxide market prices and changes in seasonal electricity demand in the American southeast. Prior to joining IHS Markit (now part of S&P Global) in 2021, Thomas spent three years at AECOM providing engineering services to electricity producers and other public utilities. He holds a bachelor's degree from Rice University and a master's degree from Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment, both in the United States.
